Against Malaria Foundation

The Against Malaria Foundation (AMF) is dedicated to fighting malaria through the distribution of insecticide-treated bed nets.

Since 2005, AMF has provided over 220 million nets to protect families living in malaria-prone areas, protecting over 400 million people against malaria.

AMF works with local partners to ensure the nets are distributed to those in need, and that communities are educated on the benefits of using the nets.

What the research says
Malaria kills over 600,000 people annually, mostly children under 5 in sub-Saharan Africa. Nets save lives. Recipients of nets hang and sleep under them so they are not bitten by malaria-carrying mosquitoes. ...

Evidence of impact [is] exceptionally strong. Many high-quality studies of nets have consistently found strong impact. The Against Malaria Foundation conducts high-quality ongoing monitoring.
